Facebook also introduces promotional links to support your favorite creators

And the fees that Apple charges for transactions on its devices have been the subject of much dispute: last year Epic Games, parent company of Fortnite , took Apple to court in the United States over these high fees, leading the company to position itself as David versus Goliath in the cyber world. Now Meta, worth an estimated $900 billion, is positioning itself in a similar way.

“ The Commission’s investigation showed that most streaming providers passed on the 30% fee charged by Apple to end users by increasing their prices,” the European Competition Commissioner explained at the beginning of the year. “While Apple allows users to use music subscriptions purchased outside its system, its rules prevent developers from informing users about these purchasing options, which are often cheaper. The Commission is concerned that users of Apple devices are paying significantly higher prices for its music subscription services or are prevented from purchasing certain subscriptions directly in its apps.”

In a post, Mark Zuckerberg announced the new promotional afghanistan business email database links, which for now will be available only to a few select creators. These links will allow them to accept payments directly, thus avoiding Apple's platform fees.

“As we build the metaverse, we’re focused on unlocking opportunities for creators to earn money from their work,” Zuckerberg said. “The 30% fees Apple charges on transactions make it harder to do so , so we’re updating subscriptions on Facebook so creators can earn more.”

To do so, eligible creators will be able to share the new promotional links via text message or even email. These links will take their followers to a payment portal that runs through Facebook Pay . Additionally, as Zuckerberg explained, “Creators will have more ownership of their audience: We’ll give them the ability to download the email addresses of all their new subscribers.”

Facebook declares war on Apple with aggressive media campaign
Of course, Facebook's new subscriptions aren't the company's first move against Apple, nor will it be the first it takes to align itself with its content creators. In fact, a few months ago, Mark Zuckerberg's company ran a campaign in major US newspapers confronting Apple over its decision to implement new anti-tracking features in iOS 14 , apparently on behalf of the small businesses that would be affected, although we know that the company would also be greatly affected by this new way of protecting the privacy of its users.
