Emojis have completely changed the way we communicate in digital environments. In fact, many Internet users feel that something is missing and that they cannot communicate properly with others without the omnipresent emojis at their side .

However, the current portfolio of emoticons is clearly falling short for users, who have an insatiable hunger for new emojis.

According to a recent study by MoJiLaLa , a company that defines itself as the “Netflix of emojis,” the majority of Internet users confess to being dissatisfied with the current selection of emoticons.

On the other hand, 13% of users surveyed by MoJiLaLa believe that emojis should be more racially diverse.

Eager for more and more emojis, 19% of Internet users would not mind paying for unlimited access to all kinds of emojis (a service offered, not coincidentally, by MoJiLaLa).

86% of users say they use emojis regularly. However, this percentage jumps up to 92% for millennials aged between 18 and 34.

Internet users like to use the handy emoticons in all kinds of contexts, including professional ones. However, more users believe that their use is inappropriate (38%) in professional environments than those who do not (21%).
