Two days full of learning about eCommerce

On Thursday, the topics to be discussed were recruitment, marketplaces and internationalisation. At 12:00, Rubén Bastón , our director, welcomed all the attendees to the event by presenting the initiative australia number data which is now in its second edition and in which the number of professionals present has significantly increased. Then, he gave way to the presentation of each of the participants, and the conversation itself gave rise to the first of the work tables, moderated by Adrián Aira , CEO of M4C Academy.

The first session on acquisition covered topics such as the need for PR agencies to be specialized in the client's sector; the effectiveness of traditional media such as TV, radio and even Spotify to increase awareness, although not necessarily to drive direct sales; that fees dependent on media investment generate negative dynamics for the business, or the growing importance of the brand in an environment where young people prefer platforms such as TikTok and Amazon instead of Google.

The second session focused on marketplaces . The profitability of platforms such as Miravia was discussed, highlighting a feeling of disillusionment among participants. However, the power of marketplaces to expand other sales channels was acknowledged, among which were discussed: Mercadolibre (Latam), Worten, KuantoKusta (Portugal), Allegro (Poland), Fruugo, MaisonsduMonde, Decathlon and even Glovo.

The last panel of the day was about internationalization , the first topic discussed was Tiktok Shop. The effects of Brexit were also discussed, how they have affected imports and that it is a market with shortages and a need for products. The debate on labeling in other languages to sell in other countries was also discussed, as well as the fact of having the local domain to sell in other countries.
