They were perhaps the best team of the 70's-80's. The boys in red dominated not only English football, but also that of the old continent. 1.The beginnings.
FC.Liverpool was formed following a conflict within Everton club between members of the management committee and chairman John Houlding, the owner of the land on which Anfield phone number list stadium is located. Thus in 1892 Everton moved to Goodison Park, and those remaining on Anfield Road formed a new team, FC.Liverpool.
2.18 championship titles.
Just two years after their foundation, the "cormorants" were promoted to the first tier, which was then called Division 1. They only lasted one season, relegation followed, but after a year in the second league they had the strength to come back. The first title was won in 1901 and the last in 1990, a total of 18 successes. In 1954, FC. Liverpool was relegated and played 8 seasons in the second league. Two years after their comeback under the command of Bill Shankly, Liverpool won the title. Until 2011, Liverpool held the record for titles won, when it was dethroned by Manchester United.
3. Seven successes in the FACup
The first FA Cup final was a 1-0 loss to Burnley in 1914. Bill Shankly was also the man who brought the first FA Cup trophy to Anfield Road. It happened in 1965 after a final won against Leeds United 2-1. The other six trophies were won in 1974, 1986, 1989, 1992, 2001 and 2006.
