After spending over a year with Visible Mobile, I recently decided to leave and say goodbye to my number plan with them. Visible, a popular MVNO that offers affordable unlimited data and simplified plans, initially seemed like a perfect fit. The idea of paying a flat rate with no hidden fees and unlimited everything was very appealing, especially compared to my previous carrier’s complicated billing. However, over time, I found that the reality of the service didn’t live up to my expectations. Network slowdowns during peak times, occasional call quality issues, and customer service responses that sometimes felt robotic led me to reconsider whether Visible was really the best choice for my needs.
One of the major challenges with Visible was the dependency on Verizon’s network combined with Visible’s unique setup. While Verizon’s coverage is generally strong, Visible’s prioritization policy meant that during high-traffic periods, my data speeds slowed significantly because non-Verizon customers get deprioritized. This throttling made streaming videos, video calls, and even loading some websites frustrating. Furthermore, customer service was entirely online and sometimes slow to respond to urgent issues, leaving me feeling stuck without real-time support. The lack of in-person or phone support also made it harder to resolve problems quickly. These inconveniences, coupled with the fact that Visible doesn’t offer as many features like Wi-Fi calling on all devices or advanced voicemail special database options, pushed me to look for alternatives.
Since leaving Visible, I’ve been exploring other carriers and service plans that offer better reliability and customer support—even if it means paying a bit more. The freedom from Visible’s number plan feels refreshing, though porting my number out was a little complicated and required patience. I’m currently leaning towards a provider that offers a better balance of cost, service quality, and support accessibility. If you’re considering Visible, keep in mind that while it’s a great budget option for some, it may not meet the needs of users who require consistently fast data and responsive customer service. Saying goodbye to my Visible number plan was a personal decision for peace of mind and better overall connectivity. If anyone else has left Visible or is thinking about it, I’d love to hear your experiences.
