The power of photovoltaics

Post by Mitu100@ »

Energy savings and renewables remain the only real solution. Images of wind and photovoltaic plants appeared at all the stands, even those of the countries producing gas and oil, all committed to covering growing and increasingly significant shares of their consumption with renewables thanks to challenging programs for the diffusion of wind and photovoltaic. Reasons: 1) image; 2) it is more profitable to sell oil and gas rather than consume them… A bit like Norway has been doing for years.

For developing countries, an increasingly rapid and consistent transition to renewables represents a real and immediately available solution to free themselves from fossil fuels, which are expensive and polluting at levels far higher than those they pollute in industrialized countries.

Of particular note at the Ukrainian stand phone number library was the display of a photovoltaic module damaged by Russian bombing, with a caption next to it that read: “Solar energy has proven its resilience, even at the front. This panel from the Mykolaiv region was damaged by Russian missiles, but replaced in just one day.”

the most widespread energy source there is: not only is it now the most economically convenient energy production technology and one that frees us from dependence on fossil fuels and the countries that produce them, but it is also the best guarantee of energy resistance in the event of conflict. This is no small feat.

Here, and not only here, we insist on talking about nuclear power... In addition to the risk that a power plant becomes a target for missiles or attacks (let alone in the case of a multitude of Small Modular Reactors scattered around the country), what could happen in a country like ours where even the servers of the Ministry of the Interior are hacked, given that it is known that by now everything, including nuclear power plants, depends on computers and software?
