Going live on Instagram has never been so 'fun'. Now that Instagram has rolled out the new feature Live Rooms, you can livestream with four people at the same time. With Instagram Live Rooms, Instagram hopes to offer its users even more creative possibilities: from catching up with your friends to hosting a talk show. It is striking that Instagram is launching Live Rooms right now. Just when the competing (audio-only) app Clubhouse is more popular than ever. How do Live Rooms work? What are the advantages? And: are there similarities between this Instagram update and Clubhouse?
Want to start a Live Room? You can do it in four simple steps. It works practically the same as 'normal' fax lists livestreaming on Instagram, except that you now invite multiple people (one by one).
Here's how to create an Instagram Live Room:
1. Open the Instagram camera.
2. Swipe all the way to the left in the bar at the bottom until you see 'Live'.
3. Add a title (text symbol, in the middle of your screen) so your followers know what your livestream is about.
4. Click on the Rooms icon to add guests one by one. Here you will see requests from people who would like to go live with you. But you can also search and invite people yourself. With a maximum of 3 guests.
