Five opportunities you can start working on today

Post by arzina998 »

Most e-commerce companies use Facebook and Twitter when they want to do social marketing. Logical, you would think, but the question is: do you mainly reach a lot of people there? Or just the target group you want to reach? It is also questionable whether these companies get everything out of social marketing that can be achieved. That is why this blog: five opportunities that e-commerce companies should take advantage of.

I have previously written about our research and how e-commerce companies are getting started with e-mail marketing and mobile apps . We have also researched the use of social media and it shows that most e-commerce companies opt for the standard channels and do not even use all options there. So there is work to be done, especially when you hospital mailing list consider that social media itself also continuously works to increase customer engagement.

1. Enrich posts with advanced options
Social platforms are constantly looking at how they can better serve their users, but also their customers. For example, Instagram offers the option to tag an item with a link to the product in the webshop instead of a person. This option was developed by Instagram after the social platform found that sixty percent of users discover products or services via the platform. Three quarters of users also take action, such as visiting websites, entering search queries or telling a friend about a post if he or she has been influenced by it. Instagram thus becomes an extension of the webshop.

However, if companies in our study want to use this option, they will have to get to work: only 24 percent of the companies surveyed have an Instagram account. Incidentally, it is true that the companies that are present there are popular: the companies collected 1.18 million likes there. In comparison: Facebook is used by 96 percent and the companies collected 1.2 million likes there.
