Why my blog gets more attention than yours

Post by Abdur12 »

Life isn't fair. You're writing and publishing articles with some frequency but your blog still doesn't get the attention it deserves. Are you ready to throw in the towel? Maybe this post will serve as motivation to hold on a little longer.

It's frustrating. You've created a few posts and you're still dealing with just a few visitors without seeing any increase in blog traffic. You're ready to give up because you now think that there's no point in having a blog. Why bother trying anymore? I feel you. Creating your own blog that gets readers is not an easy task. Maybe you thought that the visitors would come more quickly. You hear about many bloggers who become successful "overnight" and even make money from it. Things just aren't like that.

I love blogging

Let’s take my case as an example. Although I think this blog still has a significant potential for improvement, it is considered one of the best blogs about marketing in Spain . One should not take these types of journalist email list awards too seriously, but in the end I am human and I was delighted to receive this positive feedback. Having a blog has brought me a lot: business, interviews, contacts, courses, presentations, etc. Yesterday an interview came out where I talk a little about my beginnings as a blogger and perhaps you can better understand my obsession with running marathons… In this post I want to share with you why this blog is perhaps receiving more attention than yours and what I am doing to get here.

7 years of blogging experience : I just started blogging yesterday. I've been blogging for almost 8 years now . I've learned a lot along the way and I hope to have a long way to go. You don't have to wait 7 years to be successful with a blog. But things take time to mature.

+2 years with the blog “Guerrilla Marketing on the Web 2.0” : I was a bit late to start a blog that was related to my entrepreneurial activity. It was Carlos Blanco who gently pushed me because he considers it a key activity for a start-up CEO. It is not only your experience as a blogger that is relevant but also the time invested in a specific blog.

Consistency in publishing : publishing 1 post every day is one of the key factors for the success of this blog in 2012. Consistency creates positive expectations from your readers. It has had a significant impact on generating new subscribers via email and RSS (+100% in the first 3 months of 2012). A new post is published every day at 00:01.

There are no excuses : I'm sorry, but excuses are for losers . There are force majeure and priorities. I have posted with the flu (I had a wildcard post planned for these cases), during the 14-hour days during the OMExpo fair where Coguan was present with a stand and after running the Barcelona marathon. If you want to achieve something you have to commit. It's been 101 days and I've posted 102 posts (one post by guest blogger Sonia Diez) in 2012.
