How to Show or Hide Widgets on the Windows 11 Taskbar
Widgets are a Windows 11 feature that you either love or hate. They provide quick access to personalized information, such as weather, news, or traffic events, and have their own dedicated button that appears in the left corner of the taskbar.
Depending on whether you find them useful or unnecessary, you can enable or disable them. On the Taskbar page, under Personalization in Windows 11 Settings , turn the Widgets toggle on or off to make the button appear on the taskbar, or remove it.

The options in the Personalization > Taskbar section of the Settings app also let you customize these icons. You can choose whether the pen menu and touch keyboard appear under Taskbar icons , and you can also choose which other taskbar icons appear. With the exception of the touch keyboard , which lets you choose in more detail when its icon appears, you can simply toggle all the other icons on or off to control whether they appear or not.
