So that's really what I recommend you do, is this radical life choice. Don't base your self-confidence on external things, things related to your chimpanzee who tells you "my boss has to like me, other people have to think well of me." Don't base your self-confidence on that, base it on doing your best. You say to yourself: "OK. I have confidence in myself because I know I'm going to do my best."
Let's take a concrete example. I am a content creator, I put videos on YouTube and these videos can be either liked, not liked, criticized. If I base my self-confidence on what others say, well I have no power. If I listen to my chimpanzee and say "I have to have a lot of likes on this video, I have to have nice comments", I have no control, so I won't have much self-confidence if others say bad things.
if I tell myself "whatever the result of the video, I'm going to focus on doing my best, having the best image quality, having the best possible message, best content, helping as many people as possible", well then, I will have more confidence in myself because I master this part and I will try, for each of the videos that follow, to do my best. So, you take back control by focusing on the human part of the brain.
And it's the same for you in French for example. If you base the confidence you have in yourself, in your ability to speak French, on the way others see you, well you're going to stress because you uk whatsapp number data don't know what others think. On the other hand, you can focus on doing your best. And by doing that, you'll have more confidence in yourself because you'll have done your best.
So, this is the first tip I wanted to share with you to have more confidence in yourself. In my opinion, it's the most important, the most powerful, it's "make a radical life choice". Focus on doing your best and not on what other people think. Thank you very much Steve Peters and I really recommend this fascinating book.
There are three more tips. You'll see that they'll be shorter, but they're also maybe a little easier to apply, so stick with it until the end.
The second tip is to remember your past successes. It's simple, it's obvious and it's quite easy to do. In your life, there are bound to be things that you've managed to do, things that you're proud of. Well, think about them, it will boost your self-confidence.
