So really go see it and you will be automatically added if you join our newsletter and you will also have two exclusive contents each week. So thank you for that.
Today, as I said, it's going to be a really general topic that affects my life but especially that affects Authentic French and it concerns an economic topic which is inflation. Inflation is simply the qatar whatsapp number data increase in prices. When prices increase, we say that it's inflation, it's inflation. It's an economic phenomenon.
So, we currently have since 2022, let's say since February, March 2022 until the year 2023, and it may continue a little longer, we have inflation, whereas we had not experienced that before. Governments and in particular the European Central Bank and the American Central Bank, the FED, were doing everything to limit inflation.
Without being an expert, there is, let's say, a relationship between growth, so the fact that the economy is functioning well, and inflation. In general, when the economy is doing well, it tends to create inflation, because when the economy is doing well, there is a lot of growth, there is a lot of demand, so it pushes prices up. When the economy is doing badly, it often pushes prices down. There is less demand, so inflation is higher.
So the current governments… And this is in my opinion the real cause of inflation, continued… Inflation is a bit complex to explain, especially since I am not an expert. But here, we are actually told that inflation comes from the war in Ukraine. That is what we were told for a very long time. The governments told us, they communicated very badly: “There is a war in Ukraine, so prices are increasing, energy prices in particular, so we are going to have inflation for a few months”, and I remember Bruno Le Maire, the French Minister of Finance, very well.
I also remember very well… well, I'm not sure of his name, but in any case it was the president of the Bank of France who said: "After the summer of 2022, inflation will decrease." They then said: "At the beginning of 2023, inflation will decrease."
Now, they lied to us knowingly, I'm sure, consciously, because they always try to push the blame. But the real cause of inflation wasn't that. There was a temporary cause related to the energy crisis, but the real cause of inflation was that we injected a lot of money into the economy to fight Covid. When Covid appeared, we stopped all the economies, we created lockdowns, we told people to stay at home, we stopped the economies, and to support the economy, we injected a lot of money, that is to say that the central banks simply created money.
It is clear and simple… and already at the time, I had consulted some economists who were talking about it… that a large creation of money creates inflation. The more money there is in circulation, the higher the inflation. It is an immutable economic principle.
Everything is increasing, but I resist…
