- Oh, the things I haven't told you

- Do you remember, you told me about the scammers?

— You were talking about how fraudulent attacks on gullible users have become more frequent lately. The same thing happened to us.

- What?

— I received a message saying “Dear user! Congratulations! You are one of 100 users who have a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Apple iPhone 11 or Huwei P30 Pro.” Then a picture greece whatsapp data with three boxes from which you can choose a prize. I clicked, and lo and behold, I won! I thought I was one of the hundred lucky ones who guessed the box with the phone!

- No way! I'm sure that millions of gullible users also "guessed" the box with the phone.

- Exactly! Then came a questionnaire with nonsense questions. After which they said that the winnings were mine. But to get the phone, you need to pay shipping costs of only $1.

— Did you swallow the bait? Time to hook! Next, you were asked to fill out an account, where along with the information you need to enter full credit card details (card number, password, etc.). Then there are assurances that this data is confidential and nothing else will be withdrawn. And within 2 days you will receive your coveted smartphone. And it all ends with the credit card being empty.

- It's good that you warned me! As soon as they asked me for my card details, I immediately turned off and even reset the phone to factory settings, and then restored it from a backup copy.

- Well, that was in vain, although... Maybe it wasn't in vain! Well done!

- Just as I taught you! Thank you, Potapych!

Unfortunately, this story is not a fairy tale. Thousands of Moldovans suffered from such a fraudulent attack. Do you understand that there is no such thing as a free lunch?
