In a non-fiction text (and in a blog article), most authors choose the word that first comes to mind.

You choose the lazy option (this also includes idioms).

A good writer chooses his words like a warrior chooses his weapon.

The best practice for this is to write poems or at least read them. Because in a poem you have to find rhymes and develop a rhythm.

The first word that comes to mind is not enough here.

13) Don't brag

If you're writing for engineers, you can throw around technical terms. But if you want to reach ordinary mortals, avoid technical terms and "wannabe" language.

Don’t provide “input” if you want to contribute an “idea.”

Don’t expect “feedback” if you want to estonia telegram screening know the other person’s “opinion”.

Customers shouldn’t “evaluate” your product when they can simply “test” it.

Because you learn to write primarily by writing.

My goal is always 500 words per day. During "book phases" when I'm writing books, I even aim for 1,000 words.
