Uber Eats has introduced a “flexibility” feature to its restaurant food delivery service

Post by zakiyatasnim »

Popular food delivery platform Uber Eats has expanded its scope of operations for restaurants with their own couriers. Now, establishments in Lviv and Kyiv can use both their own couriers and Uber Eats couriers to deliver orders.

Recall that previously the Uber Eats service was available only to those restaurants that offered delivery only through the platform's couriers. From today, restaurants can choose delivery by their own couriers or spain number data Uber Eats by simply switching in the application , depending on how many staff are available at the moment and what is better for customers. In fact, now the Uber service is somewhat reminiscent of, for example, the use of cloud computing resources - if you do not need a lot of resources, you consume a minimum, if the need for resources has increased - new virtual processors and servers are quickly connected.

True, the cost of delivery will vary depending on the type of delivery chosen by the client. If you order food for up to 150 UAH through Uber Eats, the service will cost 30 UAH, if more than 150 UAH - free. Own delivery in restaurants can be both cheaper and more expensive than in Uber Eats.

Currently, only 14 restaurants in the Pesto Cafe chain are connected to the new service . These establishments can now serve customers both via the UberEats app and their own delivery service. By the way, their own service is free.

Dmitry Pogrebytsky and Sergey Alekseenko, co-founders of the Pesto Cafe chain, believe that the new option will allow them not only to deliver food, but also to develop their business with the help of Uber Eats. The restaurateurs noted that thanks to the new service they intend to increase the volume of delivery orders by 80-100% by the end of next year. Today, only 15% of Pesto Cafe customers prefer to order food delivery instead of physically visiting the restaurant.

Igor Kovalev, CEO of Uber Eats Ukraine , noted that in six months the volume of orders through the Uber Eats application has grown by 80% . The most popular among customers are pizza, hamburgers, and Asian dishes. From his point of view, the food delivery market has huge potential in Ukraine and, despite the emergence of new players, there is enough space for everyone.
