MMurad/FGV: How was the process for MMurad to become an FGV partner and how were you able to help in this process?
Isnard Marshall: This happened 20 years ago. Fundação Getúlio Vargas was promoting actions to offer continuing education throughout the country.
Historically, the Foundation has always been very active in contributing to the socioeconomic development of Brazil in the area of specific education, both in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. However, it saw the need to expand in order to ensure that students had continued high-level education.
The Foundation then began to contact institutions that could be partners in this process. At the time, MMurad was contacted, among other institutions that operate in the Greater Vitória region. It underwent a process of document analysis, selection, business plan analysis and, finally, was invited to be the FGV representative in the Greater Vitória region.
My role was to identify and train entrepreneurs to take on the Foundation's educational activities in various regions. In this sense, I was responsible for the qualification, identification and training of MMurad executives.
MM/FGV: What is the FGV Partner Program?
IM: The Getúlio Vargas Foundation was created in 1944 with the goal of contributing to the country's socioeconomic development. Among its many activities, one of them is education. There was a need to train not only people who were in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Executives needed to travel to these locations to have access to FGV's continuing education. We started taking the Foundation to where students study, work and live, allowing them to have access to high-level education without having to travel.
