Summary
It should be noted that the political situation in the world has a direct impact on the formation of international trade. Political uncertainty or lack of stability also causes negative trends and introduces an element of risk in the economy.
From the perspective of the European Union market, attention should be paid to the upcoming elections to the European Parliament (May 2019), as well as the fact that anti-European parties are increasingly gaining ground in individual countries. Additionally, there is a clear economic slowdown in EU countries and a more difficult situation for enterprises , which negatively affects the prospects for foreign trade in 2019, also from the perspective of Poland.
The European Union countries are our largest linkedin data trading partner (as a group of countries), which is confirmed by the data for 2018 (80.4% export, 58.3% import). Moreover, the main direction of our foreign trade is developed countries.
Individually, as a country, Germany is the leader here (28.2% exports, 22.4% imports).
Therefore, it is worth noting that political stabilization in individual EU countries will be of great importance for the economic development of Europe, which also has a direct impact on Poland's foreign trade and economic growth in our country.
