It is not surprising that consumers distrust marketers’ claims . It is not that marketers are dishonest, but that it is obvious what they are after. For example, when buying a new mobile phone, you are influenced by your previous attitudes, habits and pre-stored information (P), your friends, reviewers and experts (O), and the marketers offering the mobile phones (M).
