Indeed, Generation Z
Just when we all understand what Gen Y is like, Gen Z (born from 1995) is leaving school. They are the new consumers (and also employees and competitors). If you read the first studies about this generation, three things are central to them: ' feeling good ', ' sharing with others ' and ' connecting with networks that help with this '.
Even more striking is that these characteristics are already trickling down to Gen Y’ers and benin mobile phone number list Gen X’ers. Indeed, among this group (born between 1961 and 1995), concepts such as co-housing, working together in cooperative farms and shops, and the desire to work for a company that aligns with their personal values are on the rise.
…and for Society 3.0
The second reason is the way our society is evolving. For Dutch readers, the term Society 3.0 may ring a bell. I therefore borrowed it from professor Jan Rotmans of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam:
last legs (such as trade unions, political parties, broadcasters, nature & environmental organisations), while new, horizontal connections (communities, cooperatives, social and physical networks) are constantly gaining importance. On the road to society 3.0, we are now in a transitional phase, which is accompanied by chaos, turbulence and uncertainty. Many organisations have an interest in maintaining the existing order, but that is only a postponement of execution. An elusive innovative dynamic from below is slowly but unmistakably forming a new power.” (source: blog Jan Rotmans )
