?Have you ever tried Twitter Blu…that is, X Blue ? We have, and in this article we will tell you about our experience. We are going to explain what Twitter Blue is, how much it costs and what you get by subscribing to the paid version of Twitter and above all… Is it worth paying Elon Musk for a blue tick?

What is Twitter (X) Blue
First, a little context. Back in November 2022, Twitter launched Twitter Blue: a paid service that adds features and services to users on the social network, available only to those willing to pay a monthly fee. At the time, it was only available in 6 countries (United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the United Kingdom).

But Elon Musk desperately needed to make the platform iceland number data more profitable in order to pay off the $13 billion debt he took on when he bought it. So what did the tycoon come up with? He raised more money by expanding Twitter Blue's subscription to six more countries: Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain .

Until then, there was only one Twitter, where the social network's news and new features reached everyone at the same time, where all messages had a similar weight in the algorithm, and everyone saw the same number of ads. And only the most relevant users were verified, although not always all of them. Because one of the advantages of paying is getting a blue tick.

We can say that today there are 2 Twitters (or two X, as you prefer): those that pay and those that don't. They are verified just by paying, although Twitter will indicate whether you have been verified by paying or by relevance. A model that Meta itself is already copying.
