Robots, cobots, drones, droids and more R2D2

Post by Abdur14 »

The trend of using robots to solve human problems peaked in the first months after the pandemic. Thanks to large rounds of private investment, all kinds of solutions have come onto the market - especially for last-mile deliveries - creating a new ecosystem in a short time with players specialized in weight types, frequencies, volume, or even market verticals.

On the magenta stage of #LIL (the hashtag of Leaders In Logistics) Salman Moghimi, founder and CEO of Peyk , tries to convince a skeptical audience about the flexibility of his robot model over that of its current competitors. He then explains how, due to its modular upper part, the device can be used by a wide variety of businesses from dry cleaners to food and even advertising.

The animated founder challenges the audience with united kingdom number data provocative premises seeking the wow effect, but he hardly manages to erase the “I don’t trust” expressions on several attendees. He will have more opportunities.

Logistics operators learn agile and change the way they do things.
On the main stage, André Gagnon Esteves , Head of Transformation at CTT – Correos de Portugal, tells how they have gone from managing letters, to packages, and then information. The secret to staying current? A move from waterfall project management to agile project management (yes, yes, like in DevOps, with Sprints, Kanban and Weekly).

“ Business and IT go hand in hand ” he tells the audience, according to his statistics this helps in substantial improvements in key metrics such as the 4% growth in the rates of preparation effectiveness and deliveries to the end customer.
