Improving job search processes as a leitmotiv
You studied pedagogy, but decided to work in the human resources and personnel selection sector. What led you to make this change?
Within pedagogy there are 3 branches: educational, social and labour pedagogy. Educational pedagogy is the one we all know and the one I only knew about when I started studying for my degree. When I started taking the subjects of Human Resources, Business, Organisations, etc., it caught my attention more and more and what made me decide was some internships in my third year that I did at a school and I saw that the educational world was not my path.
However, when I finished my degree, although I was jamaica phone data more focused on workplace pedagogy, I was not 100% convinced, since, at that time and even now, pedagogy within Human Resources was not very visible. It was when I started as an intern at Adecco that I really realized that I liked selection and the business world.
I think that there is a need to give more visibility to workplace pedagogy within companies and organizations. It is still a figure that is only related to the educational world.
What do recruiting teams look for when analysing a candidate's CV?
The first thing people look at is the title of the CV. That is, the position that the person has, which should be in large letters at the top so that it is the first thing they see. This helps them to know at a glance whether the CV matches what they are looking for or not, on a professional profile level.
If this qualification is not included, it depends a lot on the requirements of each vacancy. For example, if we are asked for a specific qualification, the first thing we will look for is the qualification section to see if it meets that requirement. If it is not met and it is an essential requirement, the CV will not be read any further. The same goes for experience or any other essential requirement. That is, we will first look for the section where the requirement we need to fill that position is found.
