In search of a goal How to train

Post by fomayof928@mowline »

In search of a goal How to train your personal branding motivation Goals help us understand where we want to go, what choices to make, and what decisions to make . “Having a long-term goal will keep you from being bothered by your short-term failures.” (James Cash-Penney) But how do we know if it is really a goal we believe in and are willing to sacrifice for or if it is just another wish? There is a Japanese technique called “the 5 whys”, useful for determining the deep motivation behind a real goal.

It consists of asking yourself why you did that action, sweden phone number list examining the response and asking yourself why again, and so on for 5 iterations. If by the last response you do not get a motivation that is in line with the goal, then both the goal and the actions taken are superfluous and waste time and energy. An example : Suppose that “Every Tuesday I have a pizza with Giorgio”.

Maybe I do it “because Giorgio offers me interesting arguments”, importantly “because it allows me to have a meaningful social relationship” and maybe after a couple more whys I am motivated to do it “because this contributes to a fulfilling social network that makes me happy”: I have confirmation that this is an excellent occasion! If after five whys, instead, I only get “because I have nothing better to do” or “because it is a habit”, maybe I would do better to find other activities, or other more interesting people for me to have a pizza with.
