The secret to staying motivated in your French learning

Post by jrineakter »

Okay, I'll finish my coffee and get to work. Ah, it's finished. Okay, I'll read one more page and go to work. Okay, a few more pages. Oh, I'll finish the chapter. This book was really interesting. Okay, I'll make myself one last coffee and go to work.

Hello dear friend and thank you for joining me for this personal development video. Today, I am going to share with you the tip that seems to me to be the most important to stay motivated. And it works for anything. You can use this advice for your personal life, for your professional life and of course also for your learning of French. You will see, it is simple, powerful and somewhat counter-intuitive.

Before moving on to the content, I wanted to give you a little gift and offer you the digital PDF version of my personal development book 4 pills for a rich and stress-free life . It's the first link in the description of this video. And this book will allow you to obtain what seems to me to be the great basics of personal development, all in accessible French. So you can go and download your gift now.

As you know, learning a language requires a lot of effort, a lot of work. I say it all the time, but if you want to improve your French, you will have to work every day. And anything that requires saudi arabia whatsapp number data work also requires motivation. That is quite clear. If we are not motivated, we do not work and therefore we do not get results.

I am very often asked what my best advice would be to keep this motivation, to not become demotivated. This is a theme that comes up very often in the comments of my various contents and it is a discussion that I have already been able to have orally in Zoom meetings with the members of the Authentic French Academy.

I'm really lucky to be able to talk directly with my audience, with the members of the academy, because it allows me on the one hand to understand their problems which, ultimately, are also yours, and it allows me to discuss with them possible solutions and to see what works. And what I'm going to share with you now, it works, it's been tested.

What I have observed and which has very, very often surprised me is that there is a category of members in the academy who are always motivated. They never lack motivation, they love to practice and they are always super motivated, they always want to move forward and learn. For others, it is more complicated. You feel that they have a desire to progress but that they often lack motivation, that they have difficulty getting down to work and consuming the content as they should.

What makes the difference between them? Why are some super motivated and why are others not? It's very, very simple. You'll see, it's really obvious. Those who are motivated always enjoy their learning, they don't force themselves. For them, French is a hobby or the way they practice it, so they don't force themselves. They don't even need motivation. Those who are not motivated force themselves. They don't enjoy their learning and so learning French is a chore.

And in my opinion, this very obvious fact... archi means very very... so this very very obvious fact, it has two implications, it gives us two lessons.

First of all, the fact that you learn French must be a real choice, you must want it. If you learn French just to make it look good on your CV or just to be like your friends or just because someone is forcing you, well you won't have this motivation, this desire to progress. You need a real reason, a real meaning, a real motivation.

A top athlete, he works super super hard every day to progress and he does it because he has a goal, he has an objective. And that alone gives motivation. The most motivated members of Français Authentique, those who never lack motivation, are those who have a real goal. Either they learn French for family reasons or for work or because French is their great passion, but they all have a real goal.
