At first I thought I wanted to blog for small and medium-sized businesses.
But then I quickly realized that small businesses like that don't have the money or the desire to pay me properly. I don't blame them for that. But they just weren't a good fit for me.
My focus then began to move a little higher. I stopped applying to the small fish and started at the top.
I now blog (among other things) for a company listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (as a ghostwriter). I got this job through an agency. And I only got the agency because I started to aim higher and reach for more.
3) I asked for too little money
This is a classic.
Whether you're a blogger, author honduras telegram screening or designer, 99 percent of all freelancers charge too little money at the beginning.
We know this way of thinking from the price wars between large corporations that fight each other with their low prices for milk, butter and bread. Whoever is cheaper wins.
But as a lone fighter, you cannot afford a price war. In a price war, everyone loses. You bid each other down and in the end, no one wins. Not even the customer. Because the customer gets an unhappy freelancer who works grumpily because he only gets 10 euros an hour.
If you want to make money, forget about price wars.Share on X
If you want to make money, don't try to catch 1000 small fish. They require a lot of administration and you will hardly get enough to eat.
