Routine may sound boring, but routines have been in vogue for years. And rightly so. Because routines take the strain off the brain and help prioritize daily tasks. This allows us to be much more creative.
Even writing on the weekend was ultimately nothing more than a routine.
On Fridays I chose the topic I estonia telegram screening wanted to write about. Then I "incubated" it overnight. On Saturday morning, the first thing I did when I got up was create a mind map with the structure. Then I had breakfast and then wrote the first draft in one go. In the afternoon I fine-tuned it to improve the quality and quantity of my text. On Sundays I usually created the cover image. Then I finalized the article for publication and planned the publication date for the next day.
The individual steps are still similar, except that I now enter writing phases during the work week in my calendar. The phases are just as important to me as a customer appointment or a doctor's visit: I won't change that.
Before I start, I choose a playlist on Spotify, because relaxing instrumental music is a creativity booster for me (but sometimes I just like it to be quiet). I bring plenty of water to my writing desk and off I go.
