Runet.Still from the film "An Andalusian Dog" by Luis Buñuel
On July 31, the Facebook administration was closed for 24 hours.blocked the Kommersant newspaper pagefor publishing a frame with a marble sculpture from the film "An Andalusian Dog" by Luis Buñuel. The publication published a link to an article about the female body in cinema, which was illustrated with an image of the naked bust of the statue. The marble chest in the picture is almost completely covered by the actor's hands.

In addition to the page itself, the accounts of 18 administrators and editors of the Kommersant page were blocked. Facebook also blocked the page of Kommersant editor Zalina Marshenkulova for three days.

Facebook has alreadyblockedZalina's account for another norway mobile phone numbers database article on the Kommersant page — about which films were banned in the USSR in the 1960s. The publication was illustrated with a fragment of a naked female breast from the film "Counterfeit Coin." Representatives of the social network stated that "the photograph in that case was a realistic depiction of a naked body."

Facebook prohibits the publication of naked female breasts. But there are several exceptions in the “Community Standards”. First, the social network allows the publication of images of breastfeeding mothers. Second, photos of breasts after mastectomy surgery are acceptable. Third, Facebook’s rules allow “the publication of photographs of paintings, sculptures, and other works of art that contain nudity.” Nevertheless, the social network regularly violates its own rules.

Facebook vs. the Bible
Facebook has repeatedly censored even the most classic biblical story — Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. In 2012, the social network's administration blocked the New Yorker cartoon page for a picture by Mike Stevens. It depicted naked Adam and Eve. Facebook considered the image of Eve's nipples too realistic. However, the social network was not outraged by Adam's nipples.
