As we enter the era of conversation, where 89% of consumers prefer to communicate with companies via instant messaging 1 , SMS tends to show certain limits in our daily lives, in favor of applications such as Whatsapp or Messenger.

It is in this context that Google launched the RCS (Rich Communication Services) message in 2019, a technology allowing richer and more interactive conversations to be exchanged from the Messages application, the application installed by default to receive and send SMS on Android. At Digitaleo, we are pioneers of RCS , having launched the first campaign in France the year it was launched.

RCS messages are indeed very immersive, thanks to the addition of images/image carousels or even videos and PDF files . 2. How did Digitaleo support Village Motos on its RCS campaign?
Village Motos is a dealership dedicated to motorcycles established in France for over 20 years. The objective entrusted to Digitaleo was to maximize the commercial success of its Open Days, while highlighting the promotions and special offers of the moment.

As a pioneer of the RCS and with more than 20 years of expertise, the Digitaleo Agency supported Village Moto with proximity and responsiveness in the following areas:

Campaign strategy and message scripting
Creation of the company brand profile with Google (profile called agent)
Setting up campaign targeting and content
Analysis of results with SMS comparison and areas for improvement

3. Village Motos' successful campaign: the results
Open rate
The results of the Village Motos campaign were very positive with an opening rate of 72% . Even if the opening rate is not measured in SMS, it is a rate significantly higher than that of an email for example (20% to 30% on average).

Conversion
In terms of conversion , the gap with the SMS campaign launched in parallel is striking: to achieve the same number of conversions, it is necessary to send 3 times fewer RCS messages than SMS in volume.

Cost per click
Although sending an RCS message is slightly more expensive than an SMS, the cost per click is 14 times lower .
