Tell us briefly about yourself, the company, and your story.
We represent a company that deals with consulting and software development. But my partner Andrey Parshakov and I started in companies involved in infrastructure construction. Personally, I was lucky enough to work in top positions in a holding that built facilities for the 2012 APEC Summit and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. My partner was a participant in major projects in the oil industry.

The first time Andrey Parshakov and I met was when I took up the position of CEO at Pilon CJSC. On my first day at work, I received a resignation letter from one of the top managers who was unhappy with the lack of development in the company. I talked to him, sorted out the problem, and in the end he stayed. As you probably already understood, this top manager was my partner.

Then we implemented one interesting project, but at some point we realized that we were a little cramped inside this company. We wanted to share with the market the solution we had created for managing the economy of a construction company, and eventually we came to the creation of a joint business.

And how long has the “SPb Engineering Bureau USB” been in existence?
Since 2016. The first 2 years the company existed more in the format of a startup and only in the last 5 years reached a full-fledged level of work.

After studying the company's website, it seems that you are also involved in developing a methodology for managing construction projects. Could you tell us more about the company's positioning: software development, methodology, or something else?
We claim that we have our own approach, our own methodology. Within the framework of this methodology, we develop software services, that is, services, and not just a software product. We provide a service using our own programs. In my understanding, in order to qualitatively develop a system, you need to be a specialist in the industry and pass the product through yourself. The development process is constant, and after each new project, some ideas appear either from us or from customers, based on which we understand how exactly to develop it.

To describe the methodology itself more clearly, I will first talk about the basic issues that a company must be able to resolve in order to apply it and, in principle, engage in digitalization.

For example, you need to be able to quickly assess the benefits of an initiated project and then follow it up so that profit indicators are always under control.

Companies approach this issue differently and often make methodological errors precisely when forming the project cost. Due to a lack of knowledge or information, many try to form the cost based on cost estimates, which is fundamentally wrong.

My partner and I have a common vision of how best to implement this. Our approach is based on a huge regulatory framework. A standard means the amount of resource required to perform a specific amount of work. Our database contains more than 3,000 such standards — this allows us to objectively formulate the cost of any project.

Now let's talk about the tool. We have a proprietary tool, AIS Stroyka PROF, patented and included in the Unified Register of Russian Computer Programs and DB. It allows us to upload an estimate, compare it with our database of standards and see the profitability of the project. All the necessary basic reports, such as the income and expense budget and the cash flow budget, are generated quite quickly.

And another important aspect of the methodology is interactive monitoring. The idea here is that for effective work any top manager should receive information without an intermediary.
