Before you start reading the rest of the post, I have to disappoint you. Viral marketing does not exist. Anyone who tells you that they can plan a step-by-step action to make a viral campaign on social networks is lying. The only thing you can influence is the content and its environment to increase the probability of diffusion. You can plan 5%, the rest just happens.
Viral content
I don't have the secret formula for creating videos, posts, journalist email list presentations, photos, etc. Still, there are certain types of content that are more likely to be successful. If you're a blogger, your traffic strategy isn't based on high traffic points. The "bet" is on being consistent in publishing value-added content. I haven't been able to test all the types of content I present in this post, but those I have tested generate an average of 300 RTs, also counting those that have been a total failure:
1. Infographics – This is all the rage right now. It combines data about social media and combines it with a cool design. It sounds simple but in the end it takes a lot of work to create an infographic to get the best result.
2. E-books : one option is to download content from your blog in the form of an e-book. You can even create several if you group your posts by topic to offer more segmentation to the reader. It almost goes without saying, but obviously if the articles are not good, it is unlikely that the e-book will be a success.
