RSA SecurID Access Update Strengthens Identity Assurance

RSA announced a major update to the SecurID platform , delivering more access and security analytics options to help organizations maintain identity and access security .

RSA, a subsidiary of Dell Technologies, has been providing customers with hardware-based two-factor authentication technology known as SecurID for more than a decade. Now, RSA is no longer tying SecureID to hardware alone. At the 2017 RSA Conference in San Francisco in February, the company announced new capabilities in its expanded RSA SecurID Access product portfolio.

"We're evolving SecurID Access to extend its reach beyond devices and adding a range of non-conflicting capabilities to help people prove they are who they say they are," said Jim DuCharme, vice president of engineering and product management at RSA.

The SecurID Access portfolio's advanced authentication albania whatsapp data include cloud and mobile options, as well as advanced risk analytics.

The multi-factor authentication mobile app, which is part of the expanded SecurID Access portfolio, provides new authentication options, including biometrics. Additionally, DuCharme noted that RSA has now added contextual risk analysis to its mobile authentication technology.

“We now use context-based information about things like the user’s location and device, and we also use behavioral learning,” Ducharme said. “We’re using the technology we’ve been working on for years as part of our adaptive authentication products, which are typically used to protect online transactions from fraud.”
