VimpelCom cites data according to which the number of Facebook and Instagram users among Beeline subscribers increased by 22% from January to December 2017. At the end of December, the operator served 58.2 million mobile subscribers.

The analysis took into account representatives of the audience of these social networks who visited these Internet sites at least once a month.

According to the organization's press secretary Anna architects email list Aibasheva, the expansion of the audience may be due, among other things, to the fact that the Instagram social network has added additional functionality, in particular stories and the ability to run commercial accounts.

On average, users spend an hour and a half a day on social networks. The most time is spent on VKontakte (three hours) and Instagram (two hours). Odnoklassniki takes up an hour a day, Facebook - about 20 minutes.

There are fewer advertisements that irritate users.

Internet Advertising Effectiveness

Since February 2018, Yandex Browser has automatically hidden ads that do not comply with IAB Russia recommendations. As a result, the amount of marketing information that irritates the audience has decreased by 40%, and this is only in the first month of the innovation. At the same time, the number of sites using ad units that cause user rejection has decreased by 22%.

The number of users for whom aggressive online advertising was hidden has decreased by 35%. The average number of annoying ads filtered daily by Yandex Browser is currently 3.5 million.

The rapid growth of Instagram.

The number of social media users has increased, mainly in the regions. As for the fastest growing segment, these are people over 35. In 2017, the number of its representatives increased fourfold. On the contrary, the number of young users has decreased — 54.7% instead of 79.3%.

According to the research, the two main trends of 2017 are the increasing age of users and the widespread use of Instagram in the regions. As for the latter factor, such indicators were achieved here due to the cities with a population of over a million. The fastest growth of 2.5 times was recorded in Kazan. There, 62.3% of residents use Instagram.

In second and third place are Samara and Yekaterinburg with figures of 61.6% and 55.5%. These same Russian regions are also first in terms of audience expansion rates. The number of social network users has more than doubled.

As before, the majority of users are women (59.3%), but the percentage of the male audience on Instagram is growing much faster.
