URL and domain drift: How many pages and domains are losing visibility in mobile search?
Within the mobile search results, 8% of the pages belong to m-dot domains, i.e. those that are mobile and have a separate subdomain. Therefore, most of the websites in our database are simply mobile-friendly.

However, this does not mean that they have managed to keep their search results positions consistent between mobile and desktop.

The image below shows how many desktop pages fell from top positions on mobile devices:

Of all the pages included in the results for the keywords analyzed, only 11% maintained indonesia mobile database the same positions on both desktop and mobile devices. When we look at the same at the domain level, this number rose to 17%.

Additionally, a whopping 31% of URLs and 8% of domains disappeared entirely from Google search results when accessed from a mobile device*:

The important thing to remember is that dropping out of the top positions on mobile will have a much bigger effect on desktop traffic, simply due to the reduced real estate of mobile screens.
