First, you can add in additional tests:
Google’s PageSpeed Insights using many of the same ratings that GTMetrix does, but is stricter.
Use Chrome DevTools from a browser within China.
Test loading speeds across China with 17ce.com.
Use additional locations from within GTMetrix.
You can optimize images even more.
Use a WordPress plugin like Performance Lab to automatically convert jpg images to the newer webp format, which uses smaller filesizes.
Ensure your theme uses the proper image sizes. WordPress should automatically create different sizes of images for use on your website. However, in practice, it might not work because of various issues with WordPress, themes and plugins.
Rebuild your website itself.

Avoid having many plugins.
As a reminder, you can host your website in China too, so long as you get an ICP License.
We’re not recommending you try to make ALL of those optimizations. You should expect diminishing returns the further you go with regards to improving your Chinese website’s load speeds. You’ll never get the load time down to 0.01 seconds, but <4 seconds is still quite good.
