Do you show all sides of yourself or do you only present a shiny image to the public? Isn't it the "patina" that gives something added value, and aren't we all a little "sideways"? I've been observing the competition a bit in this world of marketing consulting, which I've just recently entered... But I can't seem to get a handle on what these gurus of social media and digital marketing really are like. I find very little genuine "content" that isn't taken from some foreign guru of the same kind, commercialized, and packaged for the Slovenian market.

I'm not saying that, it's hard to avoid it and I sometimes take other people's content and package it in my own way. But I always make sure to add my opinion, accompanying text, a bit of myself to the final mix. I probably won't be wearing any of the sayings in the videos either, just to look more professional, and if I do, the bottom part will probably be a tracksuit or shorts, Jani Muhič style. But I'll show you the whole picture! Because it's funny! And I take humor very seriously!

Humor and branding
I miss humor in general in the world of personal branding. It seems to cameroon phone number lead me that many of us, in our pursuit of others, either intentionally or unintentionally, lose a little bit of ourselves, and don't dare to show ourselves, all that makes us special, that makes us stand out from the crowd, or that we could stand out if we simply dared. In general, I don't like people who take themselves too seriously.

Branding and personal experiences
I usually trust those who bravely speak about their life's troubles and the lessons they learned from them. Business and private. For example, a psychotherapist who has personally "went through" personal hell and has no difficulty talking about it will immediately be much closer to me than someone who has studied a lot of books on the subject, but at the end of the day can only theorize a lot. But someone doesn't feel the situation deep down. Or an entrepreneur who failed 5 companies before he managed to make a big splash. Or before he realized who he is and what he really wants.

How to build trust in your brand?
Trust is truly the biggest challenge in business. I personally find it a huge challenge with clients, especially younger, less experienced ones, at the very beginning of their entrepreneurial journey. But I have walked the path from nothing to a successful company, so I know the feelings…

That's why it's so important that people get to know you exactly as you are. And how do we assert our authenticity through social media?

By sharing things that have happened to you or are happening in your life, you allow your followers to get to know you and connect on a more intimate level.

Do you have strong opinions on topics in your field and a wealth of knowledge that would be useful to your followers? Bingo! Share it, it will establish trust and authority.

Have you been in your business for a long time? Share an interesting or funny anecdote from your workday, current or from years ago! We all love to laugh! Don't we?

Branding and authenticity
People remember the most about how they feel after interacting with you. And that's a matter of authenticity and energy of the individual. It's very hard to fake it here, so I think someone's personality is a key factor in their success, especially in service industries, when you have to be your own personal brand.
