It’s one thing to imagine losing your phone number or SIM card during normal circumstances, but experiencing it during an emergency is a whole different challenge. Recently, I found myself in exactly that situation—without a SIM card, no phone number, and limited ways to communicate when I needed help the most. The panic was real. I felt suddenly isolated and vulnerable, realizing just how much I’d taken being connected for granted.
