Google fonts slow down the page

Post by mayaboti »

Before getting into the more complex aspects, try taking a look at these, and see if you can improve performance at least a little... Work on fonts . Fonts often create problems with loading times because they are called from outside (or from the server). However, there are fonts that are immediately readable by any browser, so my advice is to use those. And the Google Font gallery? In this case even the Mountain View creature disappoints us: even dramatically, especially if you use the standard library with 5 variations of character "weight" (which count as 5 different fonts).

If you really care about your Google font, upload only two germany telegram data weights: normal and bold – 200 and 600. Lighten the images. In many cases, images are real boulders that crush the performance of your website. Working on size and using the webP format can do wonders for speed ( I talked about it in this article ) Watch out for integrations. The Facebook tag, the Analytics tag, the Active Campaign and WhatsApp chat, Hotjar.

.. all this stuff matters. And it often alone weighs 10 times more than the page! My suggestion is therefore to understand what you really need in the conversion path. And then dry, dry, dry. These that I have listed represent a small part of the optimizations you can work on . Unfortunately, often the problems are much more complex and serious, and in these cases - I'll tell you honestly - there's no escape: you have to redo the site.
