Exercise #10: You only have 3 words
A good exercise to train your creative writing muscle is this: Summarize a movie in three words.
Example from the war film “Saving Private Ryan”: Shoot, find, die.
This exercise is especially useful for writers who have difficulty keeping their writing brief .
Another idea is to summarize your day or your life with just three words: eat, write, sleep.
Bloggers also need to be good storytellers. I say it again and again: Include stories in your articles.
Here are a few ideas for short stories:
- You meet your grandfather cayman islands telegram screening after many years.
- You can't sleep one night.
- You are in a strange place and don't know how you got there.
- You see a ghost.
- You travel to a country you've never been to before.
- You wake up.
- It's raining outside.
Don't make it too complicated. Creative writing is primarily practice. Pick an idea and write for 15 minutes.
