"The first pancake is always lumpy"
At first, we decided to try to bring the client's "product" to the TOP of Yandex's free search results through search engine optimization (SEO). We hoped to get targeted visitors to the site from organic search results.

However, the hypothesis failed. Despite the team's efforts, we could not get to the first page of the search engine. The housing market is oversaturated with large aggregators and real estate agencies. Such competitors have large resources with hundreds of thousands of pages. This plays a key role for the search algorithms of Yandex and Google when "selecting" sources of priority issuance.

In the end, we decided not to tilt at windmills and abandoned SEO in favor of paid channels.

And then Google gave us a surprise and blocked the account

Reaching growth points
After trying out SEO, we brainstormed and decided to focus on contextual advertising on search and the Yandex Advertising Network (YAN). This turned out to be the right decision, as can be seen from the graph of the sharp increase in visits since May 2020.
